This pamphlet was issued by Adolf Brand as the sixth volume of the Wegwalt-Drucke (Wegwalt Press), which was a specialized book arts project and imprint run by Adolf Brand. The book contains fourteen of Michelangelo’s love sonnets written to Tommaso dei Cavalieri, translated from the original Italian into German by Ludwig Carl Preyer, who contributed an extensive introduction. Very good in hand sewn wrappers, mild wear to covers, inked initial "B" inside rear cover.
Exceedingly rare.
