Guido Hermann Eckardt (1873-1951) was a well known Latvian journalist who wrote three novels with gay themes, all published under the pseudonym "Fritz G. Pernauhm."
Der junge Kurt involves a composer who develops an emotional attachment for 17 year old Kurt, but then becomes enamoured with his mother, which prompts him to flee to Paris. Highly regarded by the sexologist Eugène Wilhelm (Numa Praetorius) who praised its "elegant brevity, which tastefully only hints at and allows one to guess at many things."
