L'Amphore et les Aveugles
Paris : Eugène Figuière (1925). 325pp.
Item #7687
The first and only novel by the French author, printed in an edition of 200 numbered copies (#120). The novel explores themes of same-sex desire and was featured and reviewed in Adolf Brand's Der Eigene—the world's first journal focused on homosexual culture. Suppressed for its subject matter, it remains a rare example of gay literature of the period. Very good in 3/4 morocco boards, marbled endpapers, raised bands, original wrappers present, top edge gilt.
Price: $300.00
