Edward Hutton was a prolific writer on Italian subjects and began an extended correspondence and friendship with Norman Douglas until the latter's death in 1952. An extensive selection of the letters is presented here in the fourth volume of the series issued by the Voralberger Landesbibliothek and edited by Arthur Wensigner.The correspondence covers a wide variety of subjects and includes references to many of their shared friends and enthusiasms.
