Volume 1 covers the period 1850-1914 and is entitled Les Grandes Figures de la Belle Epoque and Volume 2 covers the period 1917-1950 and is entitled L'Age D'Or de la Scéne Française et Européene. Numerous illustrations, many colored and tipped into the text- included are extended discussions of works by Berard, Cocteau, Diaghilev, Nijinsky, Eleanora Duse, Sarah Bernhardt. Very good in dust jackets, a bit edgeworn.
