London: Elliot Stock (1890).
4to. 115pp. An interesting history of the most important early monuments in England, many dating from prehistoric times. An extensive review of stone circles, pillars, cairns, and earthworks, along with illustrations. Kains-Jackson is better known for his Uranian writings and his association with Baron Corvo. Very good in 1/4 vellum and paper boards, some browning to vellum and darkening of blue paper boards, corners a bit worn. An attractive book nonetheless.
