A pseudonymously written novel by Marie Laure de Noailles, who was at the center of artistic and literary life in Paris between the wars. Noailles and her husband Charles financed several of Cocteau's productions and were intimates of Christian Berard, Jean Michel Frank and many others in this milieu.
